As many of you know, this is the Salt Lake City based (mostly experimental) fest I started last year. The next one will be in October of 2025. Cauldron is free to attend, so we have to raise funds wherever we can to fulfill our mission of bringing a world-class festival of uncompromising motion-picture-art to the intermountain/desert west.

Like many experimental artists, I have multiple sources of employment. Sometimes I have to travel to another state just to clean a carpet for a corporate chain store. Such is life. I try to get in and out as quickly as possible. I avoid staying the night if I can, in order to save money. I listen to a ton of CDs and I listen to local radio in the car, and I sometimes stop to take video snapshots of the surroundings. This third installment of “Jello Belt” is a summary of moods from my most recent excursion.
